Nancy Davenport
I think it is amazing what one person can do with all this new digital work. I personally loved Davenport’s pictures; I enjoyed looking at her pictures in class and I looked at the rest as soon as I got home. Nancy’s work shows us how fictionist a picture can seem or even manipulated, like the picture in Accident Prone detailed by “Leo Bloom” it seems very manipulated to me, I can think of two things in it, either the rocks can be falling way far behind the man waving on the mountain, but to us it seems that they are falling right down on his head, or there were no rocks in the picture she captured by her camera and added the rocks on her computer. The other picture in Accident Prone detailed by "Michael Scott Keen" for example also looks very fabricated to me, the giant ship would probably have larger waves at the front, and the small boat would be gone by the time the ship gets that close to it. Nancy constructed her work on her own way and simulated it with her own reality.
